Filming Location: Yamada Taro Monogatari – Green Slope

Having one Arashi’s member acts in a dorama is very common. But having two of them as the lead actors in one dorama is a luxury! That’s why Yamada Taro Monogatari is precious. Aired on TBS in summer 2007, this dorama had Arashi’s Ninomiya Kazunari as Yamada Taro and Sakurai Sho as Mimura Takuya.

There are many scenes and places which we found memorable. Remember when those two climbed the Tokyo’s Stairways to Heaven in Atago Shrine?  This time, we’re gonna take you down the slope just like what Mimura-kun did when he was stalking Yamada-kun all the way home from school.

Yamada-kun, Mimura-kun, matte kudasai!!

The length of the slope is actually less than 100 m and it’s not as steep as it’s seen in the dorama. This slope appeared almost in every episode because it’s a way to Yamada family’s house. Too bad, the house was a studio built only for this dorama.

It is located at the back side of Akasaka Junior High School and 檜町公園 park in Minato-ku, Tokyo. You can get there from Roppongi Station or Nogizaka Station through the exit to Tokyo Midtown. Actually, this area was also shown in the first episode of the dorama. You may be familiar with it.

Tokyo Midtown West

Just below that traffic light is the street where Yamada Taro crossed:

Can you spot Yamada-kun?

Can you spot Yamada-kun?

Do not follow Yamada-kun (even though you really want to)! If you come from the side where that picture was taken, you need to cross the street and go straight following those bunch of trees. They are part of  檜町公園 park, so you’re almost there….or not. Because the park is quite big, please be patient and keep following the path. The slope waits you at the back of that park.

Cari lampu merah bertuliskan Tokyo Midtown West.

Dalam kanji, taman ini bernama  檜町公園. Kalau masih bingung, silakan lihat petanya.
